Margaux Marielle-Tréhoüart
Margaux Marielle-Tréhoüart is a freelance dancer and choreographer who lives in Berlin.
She studied dance, music and acting in the Conservatory of Grenoble and at the Folkwang University in Essen. She has also danced among others under the direction of Claudia Castellucci, Pierre Audi, Deborah Hay, Simon Tanguy, Renate Graziadei, Stephanie Thiersch, Andrew Schneider, Marta Gorniscka. As a choreographer she has made works in the field of new music theater (»Stimmung«, DNT Weimar), for theater (»Elagabal«, Deutsches Theater Berlin) and visual arts installations.
Since 2023, together with her artistic partner composer Haggai Cohen-Milo, she is creating and directing pieces and designing the dance territory as associated artist at the Lausitz Festival. With their international team, including closest collaborator performer Joel Suarez Gomez, they develop their own multidisciplinary language of dance music and theater, navigating between choreography and instant composition.
Dancing our impermanence, holding equally past, present and future as an artistic matrix and a political act. A playful work on memory, disappearance and desire. She has been dancing with Sasha Waltz & Guests since 2013.
