Sean Nederlof
Sean Nederlof was born in San Francisco (USA). After training in Hip-hop, acrobatics and Tae Kwon Do, Nederlof studied Ballet, Contemporary and Modern dance at University of California Santa Barbara and earned a BFA in Dance. For five Years he danced professionally in New York City with HT Chen & Dancers and Abarukas and freelanced for companies such as Pilobolus, J Chen Project and Seymour::DanceCollective. While in New York, Nederlof performed at Lincoln Center, American Dance Festival, the Alvin Ailey Dance Center, Jacobs Pillow, Judson Church and many others. In 2018, Nederlof was invited to perform the solo »Coming Home« at the Internationales Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart, the Gdansk Tanz Festival and the Masdanza International Festival for Contemporary Dance where he won the audience award for »Best Solo Performance«. Since relocating to Berlin in 2018, he has been working with choreographers such as Juliette Rahon, Ruben Reniers, Carly Lave and Yasmin Schönmann. In 2019 Nederlof Nederlof started working with Sasha Waltz & Guests and he continues to dance and collaborate with the company.
