»In C« comes to India

In January 2026, the choreography will be added to the repertoire of the Ballet Nacional Chileno.

Since December 2025, the dancers of the Chilean National Ballet have been learning the choreographic material from the two tutors Francisco Martínez and Sebastian Abarbanell from Sasha Waltz & Guests. From 8 to 10 January, »In C« will then be performed at the Teatro Universidad de Chile as part of the Festival International Teatro a Mil 2026, together with the Chilean dancers and dancers Sebastian Abarbanell and Melissa Figuereido from Sasha Waltz & Guests.

With »In C«, the Berlin based dance company in 2021 began a new, experimental and constantly evolving artistic process in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the premiere on a live stream from Berlin’s Radialsystem on March 6, 2021, Sasha Waltz’ choreography to the music of the same name by Terry Riley has been passed on to a constantly growing dance community, reaching an audience of more than 30.000 people worldwide.

Thanks to the new possibilities of flexible artistic production and artistic exchange across national borders (the choreographic material was recorded in video tutorials, which can be made digitally accessible), a wide variety of »In C« projects emerged until today.
