In the Funkhaus Berlin, two outstanding artists meet in an extraordinary dialogue of music and dance: Anastasia Kobekina, the most important cellist of her generation, and internationally renowned choreographer Sasha Waltz, who is returning to the stage as a dancer for the first time in many years.

At the heart of this unique encounter, in the spirit of Sasha Waltz's well-known dialogue projects between music, dance and space, are Johann Sebastian Bach's cello suites – Anastasia Kobekina has just released an important new recording of the six cello suites. The two artists explore Bach's music with cello and body in an experimental manner. In a sensitive interplay, Anastasia Kobekina and Sasha Waltz meet in an intimate dance that allows the emotionality of Bach's music to be experienced in a whole new way.
