BACH CELLO DANCE receives OPUS KLASSIK

The production »BACH CELLO DANCE« was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK in the category »Innovative Concert of the Year.« The OPUS KLASSIK is Germany’s most prestigious award for classical music. We are delighted and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Anastasia Kobekina and Sasha Waltz.

The award is presented by the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik gemeinnützige GmbH. The winners in the current 30 categories are selected by an independent jury of eleven experts comprising representatives from the music and media industries. The shortlist for the OPUS KLASSIK 2026 was already published on June 2, 2026.

The awards ceremony will take place as the OPUS KLASSIK Weekend on October 10 and 11, 2026, in Berlin—featuring a recipients’ concert at Fotografiska on October 10 (which is, unfortunately, already sold out) and the gala at the Konzerthaus Berlin on October 11. The OPUS KLASSIK Gala will also be broadcast on ZDF on October 11 at 10:15 p.m.
