Contemporary Dance I Training mit Victor Bolzmann
The focus of this training week with Victor Bolzmann will be a systematic and playful exploration of movement and dance on different physical, spatial and mental levels. The aim of this practice is to become aware of supposedly habitual movement patterns and coordination in the dancing body and to isolate them. After an examination of this isolation, they are combined. Different elements are brought together creatively and coordinately.
In the final step, all parts of this process are applied in a free improvisation. This systematic process is based on the idea of »conscious practice«. It is about becoming aware of one's possibilities, decisions and freedoms and thus feeling oneself very clearly in the expression of movement and dance.
The concept of »freedom through decision-making-competence in dance« can have a very emancipatory and feel-good effect on one's own dance.
In order to prepare well for this physically and mentally challenging process, Victor Bolzmann attaches great importance to a playful and multidisciplinary warm-up inspired by different movement styles. There is a creative exploration of strength, coordination, mobility, rhythm, balance and partner work.
This class aims to offer participants a light and playful approach in a dance context that is never afraid to face difficulties and challenges and to grow individually and collectively through practice and work.
