In C - Community

The SCHIRN has temporarily relocated to Frankfurt-Bockenheim and celebrated the opening of its new location with a large parade through Frankfurt city centre and a dance performance through the new exhibition rooms.


On Sunday, 7 September 2025, the SCHIRN Kunsthalle Frankfurt, together with Sasha Waltz & Guests and accompanied live by the techno marching band MEUTE, invited to »In C – Community« with around 100 participants .


The parade, featuring professional dancers from Sasha Waltz & Guests and amateur groups from Frankfurt, started at 3 p.m. at the SCHIRN am Römer and led to the temporary venue, the former Dondorf printing plant, which had been refurbished for use as an art gallery. The reason for the move is the energy-efficient renovation of the main building at the Römer.

To mark the opening of the new venue, a performance of »In C – Community« took place throughout the building.


The evening then came to a cheerful close with food and drinks from Café B by Badias and a live set by DJ Abiba.
