From the start, the basic idea of »In C« was the open transfer of knowledge across national borders, especially against the background of current crises. The individual choreographic figures were recorded directly in video tutorials, which enable dancers to learn the choreographic material digitally and independently of their location.

The play has no stage design, light and costumes can be adapted and implemented with simple means. In this way, future »In C« projects can also be created in unusual or remote locations with no infrastructure, local dance scenes can be strengthened and the travel activity of Sasha Waltz & Guests can be significantly reduced in view of the

climate crisis.

The Norwegian dance company Nagelhus Schia Productions was the first to take over the choreography into their repertoire, premiering the piece in March 2023 and since presenting »In C« throughout Norway. Further acquisitions to professional dance ensembles are being planned.
