Touring Sasha Waltz & Guests
Since the premiere, the company Sasha Waltz & Guests has performed the piece over 100 times in a total of 12 countries and 28 cities – with both recorded and live music. The company for this has worked with a wide variety of musical ensembles, including the New York formation »Bang on a Can« (Berlin, New York and Rotterdam), the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (Berlin), the Ensemble Musikfabrik (Bonn, Berlin and Metz), the Italian ensemble Casella (Rome and Reggio Emilia), the well-known Danish ensemble Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen (Copenhagen), the Swiss Post-Industrial-Band »The Young Gods« (Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and Vienna), the renowned Ensemble intercontemporain (Paris), the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz, the London Sinfonietta as well as international musicians of a wide variety of musical styles.
In the first half of 2026, we are looking forward to guest performances by »In C« at the schrit_tmacher Festival in Heerlen, the Netherlands, with musicians from Philzuid, and as part of the ballet festival Gera26 at Theater Altenburg.
